It has been awhile since we posted on our blog, and since that time we have had the plasters made.  These plasters, made by a distinguished coin artist in Seattle, will be used to create the steel dies that will be used to stamp the actual gold coins.

We will be sending these to the die makers soon and, once we have the dies, we can start production!

We have had the artwork completed for both sides of the coin and it is gorgeous!  Photos to follow soon.

We found out from the mint that, because we didn’t want them to do the stamping, that our original bid for the die set suddenly shot up to an amount that we hadn’t budgeted for.  So now we have some leads on other mints who will make the die set for a reasonable sum even though we will want to stamp the pieces ourselves, so that is a step in the right direction!
